Catch and Release Bail

Last week, a Toronto police officer was shot in the stomach by a repeat violent offender who was out on bail. This was after the offender was already arrested for two dozen offences that he committed while out on probation.

Justin Trudeau’s catch-and-release bail policies, passed in Bill C-75, have unleashed a wave of violent crime across Canada. After nine years of Justin Trudeau’s hug-a-thug approach to crime, Canadians are saying enough is enough!

A Conservative government will ensure that repeat violent offenders remain behind bars while awaiting trial and we will bring back mandatory jail time for serious violent crimes that were repealed by the Liberals.
